When Tobacco Vanille
You want vanilla sweetness with tobacco. The most vanilla of the tobacco niche scents. Comfort, winter, evening. The premium per millilitre is large. The material still shows.
When Herod
You want tobacco and spice on a warm base. Pink pepper and cinnamon spark the opening, a spark Tobacco Vanille does not have. Cheaper, and on value one of the better bottles in warm niche.
Price and risk in the CIS
Tobacco Vanille has fakes, fewer than Lost Cherry and Aventus. Herod has fakes too, though Parfums de Marly counterfeits aim at Layton first. Both are available through resellers in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. On price Herod is about 1.4 to 1.6 times easier.
Verdict
The difference is the accent. Vanilla points to Tobacco Vanille. Spice and tobacco point to Herod. On value Herod wins. Decant both. Sweet tobacco scents split people once they hit real skin.
